Susan Shatreau-Janisky

Susan Shatreau-Janisky, a Metis of Algonquin, Mohawk, and French Canadian ancestry, is a registered member of the Aboriginal Metis Community of Maniwaki, Quebec. She was born in norther upstate New York and has resided in California and Arizona. She currently resides in Northern Arizona with her husband Michael.

An award-winning artist, Susan was taught her traditional native craft when she was young. Mediums include silver, wire, leather, and beads. Her specialties are custom-made medicine bags beaded on tanned deer skin, beaded cuff bracelets, and elk skin crossbody bags.
